What happens when a heritage stationery brand brings its newest journaling collection to one of the UK’s biggest Japanese culture festivals? A whole lot of stamps, creativity and community!
This past weekend, Shachihata EU had the exciting opportunity to exhibit at Hyper Japan Festival London 2025, held at Olympia London. It marked a major moment for the company as we continue expanding into the D2C stationery market! Bringing our beloved Japanese-made products directly into the hands of journaling lovers, artists and collectors across the UK.
‘No Face’ from Studio Ghibli film ‘Spirited Away’ even made a guest appearance at our booth! Which journaling products do you think he’d love?

Stamp Rally Fun
Our booth featured the full Shachihata journaling range, with a big spotlight on our premium stamp collections. This included the playful and versatile rotating, rolling and stackable stamps. The rotary stamp was a huge success, and people seemed to love our kawaii animal-themed designs! What’s more, these products are available NOW on our Amazon to see for yourself what all the fuss is about here!
One of the highlights of the weekend was the venue-wide Stamp Rally, which saw over 1,000 participants! Channeling the spirit of Japanese culture, participants hunted the venue for each station in a 5-layered stamp rally. Collecting unique stamp impressions at each checkpoint, participants loved the challenge! And the response was incredible; queues formed, smiles spread and the excitement was contageous.
One for the Journal!
Behind the scenes, the entire team came together to deliver a vibrant and well-branded presence. Every element was crafted to reflect our vision and connect with a wider audience, from the eye-catching booth designs to flyers, postcards and social content. We were also especially thrilled to see so many visitors engaging with the products and learning about the brand, many for the very first time.
Furthermore, the weekend also offered valuable insight into the journaling community, collaborating with online creators in the space. We were honoured to work with @kia.creates, a journaling content creator on SNS. She taught us all about her journaling processes and showed us how to create beautiful spreads with our products. We left the show with a renewed sense of direction, lots of great feedback and a clear sign that there is a growig appetite for high-quality, thoughtfully designed journaling tools.
To everyone that visited our stand, joined the rally or shared their excitement with us; thank you. Also a huge thank-you to the incredible staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make it happen, both at Shachihata EU and Hyper Japan, we are immensely grateful.
Shachihata EU is just getting started. Watch this space.
