WORLD CALLIGRAPHY DAY

The word ‘calligraphy’ is a combination of two Greek words: kallos (beauty) and graphein (to write).

As time has gone on and technology has developed, a key aspect of the above has been almost eliminated. Whilst we still communicate through a form of writing, a lot of the time this is digitalised, such as texts and emails, in turn removing the beauty that writing once offered.

So, join us in celebrating this year’s World Calligraphy Day by putting pen to paper and producing something wonderful.

Who let me adult, I can't adult. Calligraphy quote.

Whether you are a complete novice or a confident calligrapher, the calligraphy guide that we have created is perfect for you! The guide will show you examples of what can be produced dependant on the chosen calligraphy pen, provides a step-by-step guide on key strokes, as well as plenty of calligraphy fonts and letters for you to practise on. Finally, you will be able to put your skills to the test on some fun ‘calligraphy to trace’ quotes that you can jazz up to make your own!

Just head to our ‘downloadables’ tab where you will find the 89 page document, completely free to download. Feel free to get involved in our competition too, just head to our Instagram for all of the details @artline_eu.
